Kristen Stewart spent six months researching the role and a lot of time focusing on Diana's "buoyant" accent.
The actress Kristen Stewart said that she was "disloyal" as the role of Princess Diana in the film 'Spencer', because she doesn't have any children that she is a parent to, so she thought she wasn't "authentic" enough for the character.

The actress, 31, is the late royal character in the movie 'Spencer'. It centers on three days in Sandringham the Christmas season before the Princess divorced with Prince Charles.
Kristen Stewart said: "She's like this wild animal who you shouldn't be able to handle (I regretted it) There's no mom yet. I'm looking for to feel genuine. This is the only part of her character I was disloyal to.
The film has received a mixed reception from critics. Kristen Stewart always knew it was going to be a controversial subject but she decided it was worth taking the risk, according to femalefirst.co.uk.
She explained to the Daily Mail newspaper columnist Baz Bamigboye: "I definitely knew that the odds of'making this up" like the word a Brit would say, were much greater than doing a "good job'.
"But I felt that it's worth the effort. I've been an actor for quite a lengthy time, and it's uncommon to come across things that can make you feel that way."
Kristen Stewart had been prepared for the "daunting and extremely difficult experience" of reliving one of the most difficult times that she experienced in her life. Diana who passed away in the crash of a car in 1997. However, she was not ready for the amount of "joy" she'd feel.
She stated: "Diana just really did possess this overwhelming stunning, powerful, beautiful energy. Her decisions were shocking.
"(But) the presence of her gave me a feeling of height and I felt like I could dance. I felt her strength in a ****** amazing way."

She explained: "When I'm talking, I'm not even able to open my mouth and then everything is finished abruptly."
On occasion, however, if she was feeling "self-protective or emotionally or tight" on the set, Stewart lapsed back into her normal voice and would then walk around screaming "Argh! ", "Argh!" in order to bring her voice back to her track to the awe of her crew and fellow cast members.
Despite her global fame, the actress from 'Twilight Saga' claimed that there's nothing comparable to the experience Diana was through.
Kristen Stewart said: "I refer to her world opening to the whole world."
